Fringe Venue#1
The BeBe Theatre (Fringe Central)
20 Commerce St.
The BeBe Theater is a cozy and intimate black box theater (69 capacity). The BeBe belongs to the Asheville Contemporary Dance Theatre; most of ACDT's shows are created and premiered in this venue. The theater is also rented out to other arts organizations for their performances. The BeBe Theater is a very busy place with over 100 performances a year.

35below is ACT's intimate 45 seat black box performance space. 35below features many unique productions over the year.

Boarding on Coxe Avenue at Commerce St.
Asheville's beloved purple bus features comedy tours of Asheville and special holiday themed tours as well.

The ARTery
Asheville Area Arts Council

The ARTERY is a multi-purpose exhibition and event facility serving as headquarters for the Asheville Area Arts
Council (AAAC). It offers a visitor center, a classroom for a wide range of workshops and programs, display space for
fine art and various crafts, rehearsal space for performing artists and groups, and presentation space for small events.

Parking information and suggestions
Downtown parking can be tricky. There are several city owned parking garages, including the Rankin Avenue and Wall St. garage, which are close to 35 Below and the Bebe Theatre/ LaZoom Bus. There is a parking lot across Commerce Street, in front of the Bebe Theatre, which requires pre-payment. Look for an attendant.
On the street, metered space parking is free after 6pm.
Parking at the ARTery
(346 Depot) is easier.
There is a free lot across the street and another paved lot down the street. |
